Tommy Paul terug op 100%: "We zijn optimistisch voor 2026"

Een intensieve training in Florida, positieve signalen en een vertrouwende coach: alles lijkt erop te wijzen dat Tommy Paul klaar is om in 2026 weer een van de meest gevreesde outsiders van het circuit te worden.

Tommy Paul had established himself as one of the main outsiders during the first half of the season, reaching, for example, the quarter-finals at the Australian Open and Roland Garros.

However, the American was quickly hampered by a foot injury sustained during the clay court tour.

"We are optimistic for 2026"

This discomfort prevented him from performing at 100% for the rest of the year, forcing him to withdraw from the last tournaments of the season. For Tennis Channel, his coach Brad Stine gave an update a few weeks before the start of the 2026 season:

"At this point, I think he is at 100%. Everything is back to normal. I was in Florida a few weeks ago for six days. The training went very well, everything was really good, so we are very optimistic about having him in full health for 2026."
